Joslynn Taylor chose to do two posters for a Black Lives Matter protest that happened on June 23rd, 2020. The designer used photos, of her brother and herself, that were taken at the protest. Taylor drew illustrations over the photos that represent the clothing of the specific time period that it in the title. Taylor chose the year 1865, because that is the year slavery was legally abolished, and 1960 because that was during the Civil Rights Movement. She also included her own handwriting in the event details. These posters comment on the fact that the fight for racial equality and justice is far from over and we need to continue the fight.
