DesignArts Utah '21

Design is the creative beginning of any human-initiated arrangement of materials. We are dedicated to the promotion of excellence in the diverse fields of design in Utah. We strive to help community members see, experience, utilize and value the art of design that surrounds us. Yearly we sponsor a juried exhibition of some of Utah's best designers' work.

Juror Antionette Carroll selected nineteen works by thirty-nine Utah designers working in a broad range of design media for this exhibition. In her comments, Carroll stated: "....this year's DesignArts Utah centered on the importance of identities, flexible designs for inclusion and belonging, and personal reflection. While some may view students as the ones to be taught, the designs presented in this showcase showed us that they should be the ones teaching....." Congratulations to Juror's Award Winner, Joslynn Taylor, and Student Award Winners, Bronwyn Haws and Christianna Osborn.
